Here’s a look at some of the snippets of unschooling and learning in our family during the week of May 6, 2012.

We spent a lot of time outside, doing cool stuff, in April 2012. Here are some photos of our fun.

Two of our recent homeschooling projects included making a “feeder” of nesting materials for our birds, and making a poster about Vikings.

As part of our study of robots, we made some (nonworking) models out of Legos and recycled boxes.

A multi-hour monopoly game and a hike around a former golf course turned park near our home made for a perfect spring day.

We spent hours and hours researching the Titanic just before the 100th anniversary of its 1912 wreck.

Our top five homeschooling resources aren’t very “curriculum”-based. They’re things like our parks, our library, our 4-H program and more.

Our trip to a Celtic Woman concert made a great celebration of the end of our first week of homeschooling!
